Power of Attorney establishes a person that you trust while in sound mind to help make decisions when you cannot. Without a Power of Attorney, it can be hard to gain access to medical records, tax returns, sell jointly titled property, or receive insurance benefits.
This gives guidance and makes known your wishes for medical care when you cannot make the decision for yourself.
